Inground pools built on excavation, base and backfill done right.
What we do
Inground pool installation for homeowners across Durham Region, from Oshawa and Whitby to Ajax, Pickering and Clarington. We handle the full site: layout and utility locates, excavation, a compacted stone base, pool shell placement for vinyl liner and fiberglass pools, backfill in compacted lifts, and the finished landscape around it.
Clay-heavy soil across much of Durham Region and Ontario freeze-thaw winters punish a pool that sits on a rushed base. We excavate to the design depth, set the shell on a compacted stone bed, plot drainage away from the pool and the house, and build the surround, enclosure fencing and lawn so the yard is finished the day the pool is.
Why it lasts
Ontario One Call utility locates and a property survey review before the excavator arrives. Setbacks and pool enclosure rules confirmed with your Durham Region municipality.
Dug to design depth with a compacted stone bed under the shell. The base is what keeps the pool level and the deck flat for decades.
Clean stone backfill placed and compacted in layers around the shell so the pool deck and surround never settle or crack.
Interlock pool surround, code-compliant enclosure fencing, grading and fresh sod handled by the same crew. No juggling contractors.

Common questions
Yes. Municipalities across Durham Region require a pool enclosure permit before a pool deeper than 60 cm (24 in) is installed or filled. Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering and Clarington each run their own permit program with their own fence height and gate requirements. We confirm the rules for your address and coordinate the application as part of the project.
Once the permit is approved, a fiberglass pool typically takes 2 to 4 weeks from excavation to first swim, and a vinyl liner pool 6 to 8 weeks. Permit approval adds time up front and spring is the busiest season, so booking in fall or winter secures an earlier install date.
Both handle Ontario winters when installed on a proper base. Fiberglass shells arrive pre-formed, install faster and never need a liner. Vinyl liner pools offer more flexibility in size and shape at a lower upfront cost, with the liner replaced periodically over the life of the pool. We walk through both during the on-site quote.
Yes. That is the main advantage of a landscaping crew installing your pool. We build the interlock or concrete pool deck, install enclosure fencing that meets your municipality's by-law, regrade the yard and lay fresh sod, so the backyard is complete when the pool is.
